It seems like you need the OTI driver. Check the following link:

Hello

I also have got one DKU-5 cable. icon_nuke.gif
It's a clone Version. Thanks to jonin6 for his method to detect this. I bought this one in a retail store in Sau Paolo(Br.)
I've got Windows XP Professional SP2 and the cable didn't work.

emsgrl's Method worked for me too. icon_smile.gif

DKU-5 Driver: Nokia_DKU-5_1_24.exe from Nokia page (www.nokia.ch).
Pc Suite: Nokia_PC_Suite_66_rel_16_ger.exe dito
TI Virtual COM PORT: TUSBWINVCP_2KXP_V103.zip from TI page

Installed these 3 components.
1.TI
2.DKU-5
ONLY KNOW Plug in Cable/Phone
3.Pc-Suite
There's no restart requred.

First time I had to enable the com/usb port in the Nokia connection manager. Select connect via cable. Select details for the SERIAL-Cable and associate with the Virtual-Com-Port. This is a little bit tricky.
DKU-5 is basically a serial cable with attached USB-Interface.

I earlier had managed to run the same cable on a different winxp machine
(but not on another xp and not on one windows me machines),
with only driver and pc-suite from the cd, which I lost now. Are there differencies to the nokia package(?)

It seems that there are at least 3 different clones of this cable out:

-With Prolific PL-2303
http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/Products.asp?ID=59
Needs the Prolific driver.
-With TI TUSB3410
http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tusb3410.html
Needs the TI Driver.

as Seamonster posted.

There is no markings on my dku-5 cable and I'm pretty sure that it is not a Prolific cable. After a lengthy search, I found the company that made the cable. It is EDISONSOFT from a small city in southern China. But if you try to find it on line, it does not exist, because it has changed its name to Prodigy. The website with the driver is:

http://www.prodigymaster.com/Download.htm

Once after the driver is installed, everything worked! Hope the same will be with you!
Nokia doesn't seem to be interested in supporting these... icon_huh.gif

Everybody happy?

Hi

I have exactly the same phone (3220) and cable (dku-5). I have also tried everything mentioned in this forum (including the modification of the VIP/PID in .inf files of TUSB3410 driver programs from Texas Instruments) and none of them helped.

THANKYOU! icon_w00t.gif I read from one side of the forum until your post, trying everything, and yours finally brought the answer. I purchased my DKU-5 cable off ebay, came in bubble wrap with just the cable and the installation CD (that didnt work icon_blink.gif ). I also am using a 3200 Series Nokia (Nokia 3205i to be exact), and have been trying to get this cable to work for nearly 6 hours straight. Thanks again! You've all helped me so much in this forum! icon_heart.gif icon_heart.gif icon_heart.gif

Okay, This is what I know so far, and I really need some assitance.

I have gotten my windows XP to recongize my cable that is a Kingsun USB COM device, and install the drivers, but the versions of Nokia PC Suite does not want to connect.

First my Nokia (3205i, identical almost to the 3200) will display "Ready For Data", then display "Data Connection Ended", then soon after "Enhancement Not Supported" I serously need some help. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of. I am going to be formating my computer soon to see if that Aids the issue.
