hey hey.. yer thats exactly the same cable that i got... i managed to get it to work wit the dku-5 driver.. but when i reformatted my pc it didnt.. no wait... it was still running on the prolific driver.. yer.. so u need the prolific driver and trust me.. im.. 90% sure uul get it to work... erm... ill have a look for u.. to try n get u the exact link....
can you pm me the driver from that website. there is nothing there anymore regarding this. prodigy master has no download. this cable is driving me nuts. had it working. had to put a new harddrive in and now i cannot get this thing to work at all.

I managed to fix my problem with the cable by reading and following what people have posted before me.
Please help, my problem with dku-5 is after I have installed it followed by the pc suite, when I connected the cable, it will say found new hardware but looking for a software for USB-UART TX LINE.

You need a driver for the OTI chip. Check the following link:
hello everyone, still the same problem for me too, however, i did a bit of hands on exercise, after buying the dku-5 cable on ebay for AU$1 i can't get xp to recognise the usb device, so to understand what chip the cable is using i did the inevitable, i pulled the plug apart and had a look at the chip, i found out that my cable has a ArkMicro chip, so emailed the seller of the cable and asked for a driver, he gave me this link
which has the correct driver for my cable...sounds nice huh? nope..
it still comes up with the same stuff...cannot find driver for the usb device...
however, if your cable looks like this
than you should have a arkmicro chip....let me know if anyone finds a way to make this cable work....

Man if i were u i just buy myself the cable which comes with original cd.and if the driver bug me i just run back to the shop and give the shopkeeper a peice of my mind!. the cables u people brought r not from charity u bought from money!
If someone has the install files from Prolific.com, could you email it to me please? And I will also upload it to a geocities website and post it here so everyone with a Kingsun can use it. Along with instructions, cause this is nuts. >.< Thanks everyone!
