How can you compare Sprint to Walmart? Sprint is the "3rd" best cell company. Sprint is like freak'in K-mart, but I wouldn't put it up there with them cause K-mart gives me a discount and some pretty good deals. Sprint, I been with them since late 97' and they don't really care about their existing customers. Always looking after new customers and then when they reel them in .treat them the same! If things don't change, I'm following everyone else.probably going with Verizon.they have great phones at great prices and starting to offer better deals.

I'll agree that vzw has better phones and give older subs a better deal on new ones after 20 months but that's where the savings ends. Sprint's Premier Rewards is a huge step in right direction for loyal subs

I agree with Dave about Sprint's customer service. I thought I was going to have to die to get rid of them. I had 2 lines with them and I waited 2 years for my contract to finally expire. I switched to Cricket because I didn't want anymore contracts again. When my contract was finally up Sprint couldn't do enough to keep me. I did keep one line for my 84 year old father to use in case of an emergency but it was only around $9.00 a month and even then they lied and they told me that they didn't keep locking people into new contracts everytime you changed your plan. I personally would like to see some class action attorney sue all of the phone companies for this practice. I've been a customer for 12 or so years and they kept extending my contract if I made ANY changes to my plan. That's bull. I can understand that if you buy a cell phone from them and get a discount they need to recoup that money but to be extended for just ADDING MORE MINUTES to a plan. That isn't right. Cricket however was even worse than Sprint when it came to coverage and customer service and I dropped them after around 2 months and paying big bucks for a cell phone that was a piece of crap. I went back to my one line with Sprint and as far as I know I'm not locked into any plan. I just upgraded my phone by purchasing a new one on eBay and will activate it when it arrives in a few days. This way I don't need Sprint for anything but a dial tone.

To Christine901,
I am looking into switching from verizon to sprint due to cost, but when I contacted sprint, they told me that you have to have a contract even if you come with a phone. Right now, I am month to month with verizon since I already had a phone. I asked sprint if I could do the same and they said no, that all plans have a 2 year contract. Now I am unsure if I want to switch. You better check to make sure that they didn't extend your contract even though you came with a phone.

Sprint doesn't lock you into any contract for changing your plan. It's advertised on their website plain as day.
