So i am about to buy a new T-mobile phone and I wanted to know if i can get internet access at my home phone without any special package. I am of course looking at a wifi enabled phone (BlackBerry Curve or BlackBerry Pearl 8120).

Key thing is that I do not have any internet package. I do not need to get internet access on cell phone reception, i am just wondering about internet on wifi connection.

As long as you have a wifi signal, you don't need any special data plans.

But don't they require you to subscribe to the blackberry server for owning a blackberry?

no. you can remove the data plan. It makes the phone useless, but can be done.
