i got my ATT fuze last week a couple days after they came out. the phone is very nice in a lot of ways. screen resolution is stellar.
but after getting so many fancy things right, they've apparently messed up a basic feature. my SMS messaging has only worked a few times since I've had the phone. it receives fine but won't send. i txt a LOT and it's really a feature i'm missing. i figure that between calling support, using online support, and going back to the store, i've spent about 5 hours trying to resolve this over the last week. when i call in and they "resend my information" (can someone explain this to me?) and I pull the battery and restart the phone it will send for at least a few minutes.
the 3rd time i called customer support today they said ATT knows there is an issue with SMS messages but there isn't a fix yet. i wanted to post here in case someone is thinking about one of these. it really is a nice phone, but i wouldn't waste your money until they fix this.
i don't know if it affects the other vendors selling the same (HTC touch pro) phone.
Glad to hear the phone is good! i'm going to pick up the pro in jan. mind giving a complete review? does it have a digital keyboard as well? battery life?

after a few more days of tech support calls they decided my phone was the problem and exchanged it. the new one generally sends SMS messages w/o issue and, as a side benefit, has substantially better battery life - my original one barely made it through the day.
i consider the matter resolved BUT, would note this: there are still places where i can receive SMS txt's without issue but don't have enought connectivity to send them. seems odd, eh?
re: complete review - i don't know that i'm up to the task. some likes and dislikes:
the keyboard is easy to type on; i'm really enjoying it. screen resolution is wonderful! i can comfortably read smaller fonts for longer periods of time. the touch screen is good and responsive. gps is working well for me.
downsides are almost 100% att's add-ons. in the case of the games and applications i'd like to be able to uninstall them or at least take the links off the apps and games pages. the TouchFLO 3D interface makes the phone less usable and is just plain annoying. i'd like to get rid of it.

I don't think you have to use it. Under start menu, settings,, today, items: uncheck the last item dealing with the feature you don't want and see if that helps. I am not sure if you will have to also clear storage and restart the phone. If you do you will lose all your stored data. A restart alone without clearing storage won't do that and that will be safe to try.
