i just got this phone last week. everythings great but i can't connect to the browser or any of the IM clients. it says to check network settings on aim, and fail to connect on the browser. i know it doesnt have to do with the signal cause i have full bars. i tried following the instructions at the at&t website support. it tells me to go to menu>settings>phone>network settings>MEdia Net
but i can't seem to edit any of the settings as there is no buttons to press and i don't see all the settings available that at&t listed. is anyone else having the same problem? anyone know what to do? thanks in advance :]

this is the error code that shows when trying to access media net:
"Fail to Connect! Error: [0] "

here are the current settings:
Title: MEdia Net
AuthType: None
Username: its blank

i don't know how to change the current settings. however i can add a new network profile if that works,

I just baught this phone yesterday. I was getting the same message, and wasn't able to access anything on the internet. I called AT&T and they told me to turn it off, take out the battery, put it back in, and turn it back on. When I turned it back on, everything was working. So, if you haven't yet, try that. Seems to simple, I know. But it worked on mine.

ps. I cannot figure out how to change the tone/alert for receiving a text message. Do you, or anyone else know how to do so? I'm sure you would be able to. It would be pretty rediculous if you couldn't.

Allow me to clarify. jmc called AT&T and they activated or re-activated his media package. turning the phone off and taking the battery out is not the solution. He just had to allow the network to update.

I would suggest doing this:

from main screen tap/select green Applications button > MEdia Net > Enter URL >

Enter the google web address
this forum's ridiculous filter won't allow me to post web addresses >icon_sad.gif

Tap/select Go on the bottom left of the screen.

If your media package is enabled you should be greeted by the google webpage, if not, you'll need to call AT&T.

Call 611 from your AT&T mobile phone and tell them your dilemma. Assuming you have the correct media package, they'll update the server from their end and tell you to turn your phone off and take the battery out, wait 5 minutes and turn it back on.
