I am eligible for a new phone from Verizon near the end of the month. I currently have a first gen Moto Q. I keep hearing that there is a new Moto smartphone coming soon. But the new Storm has me thinking. And when I went to Verizon's website earlier, there were other phones that seemed interesting. Any suggestions?

The omnia, got to play with it today and it's pretty nice. The accelerometer works 360 degrees. The only downside to it is skyfire isn't compatible with the display

Thanks for the advice. I saw it on the website, and looked interesting. I guess I will find out when I go for the new one.

Well, I won't be able to get one until the 22nd. So it won't be until then when I go to the store to look. Also on site, two that caught my eye also were the Saga and the XV6900. Know anything about them?

The saga is very similar to the blackjack and the 6900 is basically the htc touch, which will no longer be available probably around january when the diamond comes out

I recently purchased the 9530 Storm from a seller on e-bay in America (I'm from South Africa currently on holiday in the UK) and he advertised the smartphone as being unlocked. When I re-approached the guy to find out if it was really unlocked he said it was unlocked to a The Verizonwireless network . Thing is I don't want to return the phone. Could someone tell me how I would I know if other SIM cards are unable to operate in the mobile and if so will I be able to unlock the mobile phone

He doesn't know what unlocked means. This phone is supposed to be a world phone, but not sure how that will work, but it is primarily a cdma phone.
So in short you got the wrong version. Return it and buy one from a non-us seller.
