I have just got off the phone with t-mobile because when ever I try to sign in to either my aol or yahoo account on my Razr2 V8 I get an "Sign In error. Please try again" each time.
The T-mobile employee says that that they only support tmomail? Is this correct? The box lists it as e-mail compatible as do the instructions and the instruction Manual.
Could anyone help me with this error?
Thanks,

yeah it is possible to get that mail on your phone. What data plan are you using? what server settings have you tried?
I know yahoo blocks remote access unless you pay for it, or at least they used to.

How do I change my server settings? - under the menu>e-mail&IM>e-mail>add account
It already has the AOL information configured - it just asks for your user name and password.
I do not have the data plan t-moblie initially said it wasn't necessary for IM & e-mail.

you do not need it for im since that goes ny text message but you need it for email. email requires unrestricted internet access which only accounts with a data plan have. They just changed all the plans around, so I would give customer care a call and they can get one put on your account.

There must be a problem with the phone as the IM doesn't work either.

if the phone isn't from t-mobile then the im will probably never work without a 3rd party app. the built in programs are carrier specific and very hard to unlock.

that's weird the im doesn't work then. t-mobiles program is powered by text message so make sure you have the unlimited plan if you use instant messenger.
your email will work once you add the appropriate data package provided you entered the correct email server settings for aol.
