Hello, I hope you are well.
I am planning to sign up for a family plan with AT&T through Amazon. The first question is rather basic: When I sign up for a family plan with three lines, will online retailers ask, at any point, for the names and information of the other people on the line, or do online retailers only care about the main account holder?
My second question involves Amazon. Because I am signing up for the family plan at Amazon, I will be receiving three new phones. Their terms state that the offer is only for new AT&T members. Does anyone know if that applies to the account holder, or does it apply to the rest of the people on the plan as well? If I, as the account holder, has never been an AT&T member before, but one of the people on my line was a recent AT&T member, will I be be going against the terms?
Thanks,
Victor

part one.
all 3 lines are in your name you are the account holder and are responsible for all of the services on that account
part two
you will get 3 new numbers if you are a new customer . port in is considered a new customer (carrier change). for pre-existing customers when you keep the same number and get a new phone thats an upgrade. if you dont want ATT to know whom is using the lines thats your business. the end user name is cosmetic for caller ID.if one of the user is a former customer see part one

Thank you very, very much.
I called Amazon and was told practically the same thing you said. Thank you for the reply, elmo! Have a great day.
