My wife and I are due for new Verizon phones and we just signed up for texting. We looked at the LGenV2. We don't want any blackberrys as we will not be using e mail etc. Someone told us they here a lot of background noise with the LGvx2? Has anyone exoerienced that and if so do you have any recommendations for a phone that we can use for texting? I like the fact that every letter is seperate but we also will be using the phone more for talking then texting.
Thanks
LG has never really been known for great call quality. go with samsung or htc

Stay away from HTC if you don't plan on using any data/email functions for the phone. I recommend using the grace period 30 days to test the devices and see if they exhibit any of those sound issues you were concerned about. If so then return them and look around a bit more. Most people seem to be satisfied with the EnV2.

The Verizon Voyager would be the way to go, no data plan needed and the texting is fast and easy.
I've played with the LG Dare as well - and the texting isn't the same without the keyboard!

I agree with you about the Dare. One of my son's just got one and i didn't like the fact that there wasn't a keyboard. He likes it but his fingers do not show the wear & tear of a 57 year old person.
I have to look at the voyager.
