Ok, so currently I am on the basic plan, 450 mins with the 15 a month extra that gives me 1500 out messages (unlimited in). Now, I have roughly a year left on my current deal with Verizon, but I am thinking about getting a blackberry Storm and changing my plan. But, will I be able to switch my plan without incurring the early termination fees?

Also, with the storm, which plan should I get, the blackberry Unlimited for $50 a month and get the 1500 Text bundle on top of that (essentially my current rate)?

Any thoughts would be great!

Changing your plan does not affect your contract, the etf is only charged if you cancel services.
Regarding the blackberry feature, it depends on how you will use it, the $50 bberry plan is if you plan on connecting through an enterprise server. If you don't plan on doing that then get the $29.99 plan and you'll be ok.

Yea, the BB is for school use mostly, but it would be nice to have internet access and what not while im not around routers at school. The 30 dollar plan will suffice for me, and Ill still have all the features of the BB (and after i add texting) Ill be squared away?

I currently have a BB CURVE and must wait another six months to change the phone to the BB TOUR UNLESS I want to pay full price which is ridiculously high. I point this out only to emphasize that you may be faced with the same scenario. Changing plans is no problem. changing phones before your contract is up can be very expensive.
