I've a old T-mobile phone out of contract. on which my Nephew put a password and don't remember what. What can I do? is there a way to recover password via some software? or any other way? please help

Is it a SIM lock password or a windows password?

It is the password that it asks for security when you turn on. it seems he had not used the phone for a few days and now its locked. he cannot use it it asks him for password everytime he tries to use it. make sense? I can ask him for details and post it 'morrow. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Y'll. I figured the password was the one that it ask when you s/w on the phone. I did a hard reboot as it is specified on page 81 of user manual and it worked perfectly. only thing it is set to Factory condition now. and I am ok with it.
