T-Mobile has a helpful walkthrough to enable/disable delivery notification:
I had the T-Mobile Dash (Black) for about two weeks.
It is nothing more than a geriatric equipment. It is like an old PC struggling to run Windows Vista. You get what I mean? The internal hardwares are the same as they were when the Dash was first introduced, processor and on board RAM and drive. Then they changed the look to entirely black and upgraded to WM 6, which made it worse, because the OS literally crawl trying to run applications. I'd get "insufficient memory" all the time and had to force all programs to end, soft reboot, and re-run the application I want.
I spoke to 4 people nobody was willing to take it back or return it to the store, the fifth one did allow me to return it. Out of frustration, I cancelled my entire plan and took my number to Verizon.
You should try their BB Curve 8330, the push email is indispensable and something easy to setup yourself. No wonder BB is addictive. The VZW's Curve 8330 is more professional looking that its siblings with ATT, T-Mo, and Sprint. VZW also has entirely different theme and icons are cleaner and no similar to the rest.
Just a thought for you.

how many applications were you trying to run at once? I've never seen that error on a dash and the dash has a fairly high review from most places
