I heard heard of alot of problems with SE mobiles, a friend has a k800,
which switches off once or twice a day for no reason whatsoever.
My own phone is a Sony Ericsson k750, which decided to give up today.
I cannot switch it on, with no signs of power whatsoever. I have tried to
charge it, take out the memory stick, but it still wont switch on.
Is it likely that the battery has died and im going to need a new one?
If so, is it worth the cost of a new battery, or just get a new phone?
I dont think i will get another SE phone as they seem to have far too
many faults, perhaps little went into the fault checking processes at the
manufacturing/testing stage at the SE factories!
Thanks for any help-can anyone can think of anything I can do to
kick-start my k750?
really you're going to just assume that SE phones are the worst to get? you know with SE phones there's a lot of DIY fixing if you know what to do. besides what's this "hear a lot of problems with SE phones" business? the most problematic one would be s500i / w580i for crappy plastic design.
besides most ppl that show up to forums are because they did something to it to make th ephone stop worrking.
seriously asking the cost of a battery on this website when you could easily look on ebay or on gsmarena? probably $20 USD tops if you buy from a store, btw.
yeah the reason why it's probably not switching on is due to the fact that it may have been dropped.
to see if your k750i is salvagable, download xs++ and connect your phone and see if it shows up. if it does then reflash the software, everything should be fine.
if it doesn't, buy a new battery. try the same thing and if that doesn't work either. scrap it and buy a new phone.

If your battery is in good condition try to flash the 4n using XS++
