I recently purchased a 4 gig micro SD for my Samsung SGH-T-459. When I try to format it on the phone it says error. My main goal is to store pictures and music. Any advice on how to remedy this problem would be appreciated.
I purchased a 4GB card. I was able to get it to format on the phone but when I try to put music on it from my PC I got error message saying I need X MB on my card for it to fit. Songs are only maybe 4MB. When I access the card from the PC it shows 5 folders (Music, Pictures etc). I formatted the card with the PC and now when I put the card in my phone it doesn't read it. If I format it again with the phone it goes back to the problem with not enough room to save a song. Help please!

Have spent much time trying to get this to work. Samsung says it is software. Tmobile says the memory card. I tried several memory cards though. Help me.

Try formatting the card on a PC using a card reader. Just make sure you format it using the FAT file system rather than the NTFS file system. That's usually what works for me. Also, be aware Samsung phones DO NOT support MDHD (high-density) cards. Only the standard 4Gig micro's can be used.
