Why doesn't AT&T carry high-end Nokia phones anymore?

That new E75 is absolutely beautiful! It has the three/four main things I want in a phone—a full QWERTY keyboard AND dial keypad, WiFi, 3.2 megapixel camera, etc.
Why don't carriers seem to carry the high-end Nokia phones as an upgrade option? Why is buying this phone directly from Nokia my only option? Then you get no guarantee that it'll work on our network (see Nokia 5800 XpressMusic) I've always had Nokia phones since I've had a cell phone. I tried the Tilt for a minute but found I really don't care for touch screen dial pads—too inaccurate—or Windows Mobile 6.1.
I was actually using the same phone for five years—a Nokia 3600 that I was at the Cingular store to buy the first day it was offered. Until I tried that damn Tilt and had to upgrade my SIM card. When I turned that back in, I found out that the new SIM was too much for the old phone and bought a Nokia 6620 off CraigsList for $30—a phone I've dropped DOZENS of times that STILL WORKS! I don't think AT&T has offered a high level Nokia since the 6682.
C'mon, AT&T--enough Samsungs, LGs and Blackberry's. Give me an upgrade option to a phone I know and trust.

You could always get some of the higher end Nokia phones unlocked from other retailers. I know Best Buy sells a whole bunch unlocked. Bonus is that you don't have to upgrade your plan if you buy an unlocked phone. Just swap out your SIM card.

I would assume, that AT&T is looking towards business customers. In this day and age, people want simple easy to use data devices (like the iPhone). Also keep in mind those phones might cost AT&T a pretty penny, and if AT&T is going to pay an arm and a leg for a phone it wont sell due to the consumer price and AT&T attempting to recoup money for buying the phone. Take the Motorola Q9, it was an awesome PDA, came with the capability to create and edit Word DOCS, PDF's, and Excel Spread Sheets. It never sold.too expensive. The fix, check out Bestbuy, I hear they have unlocked phones, or visit your local mall.

what are you talking about? an unsubsidized iphone 3gs costs $800. Nokia's current flagship the N97 costs $600 unsubsidized. If ATT were to subsidize the N97 it would cost less than the iphone 3gs. It's interesting that people in the US think that Nokia's are expensive when they fail to see that iphones are cheaper because you have to sign 2 year contracts. Also, Since when did iphones become business phones? Its a good phone, but I would be hard pressed to say that it was geared more towards business than a blackberry or and Eseries nokia device, or any htc for that matter.

Agreed. The Iphone has no real Business Application Like Blackberry or Windows Mobile phones. On my WinMo phone i can open/edit pdfs, word files, spreadsheets, Surf the web with FULL FLASH capability, and more. And my phone is older than the original IPhone.

Wrong gsmguy the iphone has more Business apps the blackberry or windows devices it is just that the iPhone has a lot of fun and flashy apps that just get a lot more attention. you can turn your iphone into a device that can, accept creditcard payments, plan travel ittenearys, track stocks, and open and manipulate word, excell, and pdf docs, you can have a password saver as not to mention att navigator, meeting notes etc.
