I have had a T-wing 18 months and it worked fine with MS outlook. I had to wipe the laptop hard drive and reinstall the software. I couldn't use the install CD because the adobe flash player it requires is older (V 8.0) and when installed won't run the CD. T-mobile tech support said the problem is MS. I reinstalled ActiveSync 4.5 and turned off the Mcaffe Firewall. Now the computer "sees" the phone and I can tranfser/manipulate files, but outlook won't sync. Then MS said they believed the problem was with the phone.
The REAL problem to me is that the phone Outlook and computer Outlook don't talk! Does anyone have an explaination or suggestion?

Figured it out. I was looking for the setting in IE that you described and found a USB to PC icon in the settings>connections tabs which needed to be switcheed to advanced network funtionality. This is in addition to the activesync USB check box. Once I changed that the computer could establish a relationship with the wing and everything synced.
