OK,
a friend of mine bought a Motorola C450... and it has an USB interface (USB mini B 5 pin).
Our Question: Does every USB mini B 5 pin cable work or do we need some with special assignments?
Because we can get the normal cable for 3 Euro and Motorola sells it cable for 30 Euro...
Thanks.

I've connected my c450 with normal USB mini B 5 pin cable, which I got with my camera. So it works. But I don't know how to download poyphonic melodies to my phone? Does anyone know which software do I have to use?

Thanks for the info
I've downloaded 2 programs... Messaging Suite 1.1a and Motorola Media Manager 1.3, both via eDonkey.
We will buy that cable and hope the software will work.

OK... The Phone and the software stinks... we've tried it for 4 hours now... tried every tool for motorola phones... nothing... all I could do is do a little bit within the date book and phone book. Oh, and edit some settings that I also could edit without any software...
No games uploaded, no pictures, no ringtones... nothing done...
Damn, I'm glad I've got a Nokia phone!

Finally a good ringtone/wallpaper tool has been released:
Motorola P2K (or p2kman)
Works very nice with the C450 of my friend.
But the program seems only to work if PST is installed too.
I had to delete the MyToneDB.db on the phone to get it working.
And don't wonder when you start the program, it takes a while because the tool read the complete phone memory. And so it does after uploading a file. So it's a bit annoying, but working

First off, install PST as that installs the drivers needed for P2K to run properly. Secondly, uncheck 'Auto update filelist' to stop the program refreshing after every file change. This will speed it up no end.
