I have a new V557. (purchased on Ebay). I then purchased a new battery. With the phone turned off, I must recharge the phone every 3 days. This seems most unreasonable. Any suggestions would definitely be appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you for your kind reply.
No, when the phone is off, and even when the battery is charging, at all times the phone feels quite cool.

In addition I checked, and bluetooth is and has always been turned off.
So I am still mystified.

Is it barely possible that I may just have a "lemon.?"

you might just have a lemon!.
I use to have that model and it take 5 days of normal ued average of 30 min talk time aday with fone turn off at night.
Try to recondition your battery.
Let it run out completly then charge it full .
Now you need to shut the fone of at least 15 min a day that will help with perfomance of the fone, you will not get echo, buzzing sound.ect.
Now remember when charge with fone on , it does not truly full as it indicated.
Charge with fone off you get more

Thank you very much for that information.

I will follow your advice on draining the battery and then recharging. Actually I have not used the phone at all to call anyone. I merely turn it on to check battery status. The SIM now in the phone is only for my use while in Germany in May, but I wanted to make sure it was going to be completely functional while there.

And I do always have the phone turned off when recharging. Now I just may contact the Ebay seller to see about the possibility of a replacement.
Again, many many thanks for your good advice.
cordially
Mahl
