okay, right now i have a env or a vx9800 which i can get $15/month data. However i saw a thing in the get it now for $5 unlimited email (data) so i should be able to use the web for that price too, right? so if i upgrade to a XV6700 is there anyway i can keep that $5/month data thing by activating it and saying its a different phone or something? please help because i dont want to pay $40 for data

It's $29.99 a month for data on a PDA/Smartphone, and yes the plan would have to change if you went from a basic phone to a smartphone.

Also, that $5 for email is in addition to the $15 VPAK, totaling $20 for the dumb phone.
Another option for a dumb phone is to move to the Connect plan. For a $10 dollar add-on, you get Web AND Mobile Email. However, you cannot use VAST with that plan.
