There seems to be real problems with e-mail through wap at the moment. Even more so with T-Mobile. The best thing to do is use GPRS or let your provider/network set the phone up for you. It does work provided everything is in place. One missing digit on an IP number or too many spaces for example can throw it right out.

I have a T300, but I have had A T68i also. When I tried to set up email I had no problems whatsoever. The problem I noticed is that u have to provide the IP address and not the mail server address eg: mail.you.com.
After I entered the IP address it connected straight away. I use O2 and find no problems with them whatsoever.

same problem happens with the Nokia N70, i don't think its phone specific, i think T-Mobile's email system isn't working properly. I can receive emails ok using pop3 settings for wanadoo, but the smtp outgoing-
mail doesn't seem to send, just says connecting to t-mobile internet, then doesn't do anything.
Went through T-Mobile Tech support, they were quite helpful in what they were trying to do, practically tried everything in their manuals, ended up sending me some settings for t-mobile email which were
smtp.t-email.co.uk, tried that, and it came up with the message "webserver not found", but anyway, got no further with tech support.....
I would like to get some more feedback from N70 users but on other networks to see if they have the same problem, i don't think its the phone
So, it looks like its T-Mobile ability to deal with smtp email traffic is at fault, not the phone.
