I am in the UK, and will be visiting the USA later this year. I have a handset that was purchased in the USA (in Florida) by a friend when she visited last year. It had a "Pay As You Go" AT&T SIM card in it which has expired now, as the phone hasn't been used in a while.
I'm visiting Nevada, so if I purchase another AT&T "pay as you go" SIM card, will I be able to use it in the handset without having to get it unlocked, or is the handset locked to whichever SIM card was in it originally?
