My friend wants to give me his pantech matrix phone due to the fact his families plan went delinquent. Since I dont really use phones for talking. I thought I might be able to go get a prepaid sim card and buy go mins etc and get unlimited texting for $20. Is this feasible and where should I look for a sim card?should I go to walmart and buy a cheap phone and just switch the sim cards or is there a cheaper way to get my hands on a sim?

if you have the phone and ned a sim the MOST you can be charged for a sim is 25 bux.AFAIK the cheapest phone is 39.99 (regular price) look to see if there are any phones on sale for less than 25 bux

hey thanks for the answer. I ended up getting the sim free with the minutes i bought. I got unlimted messaging but for some reason i cant receive any from an email. any idea on this one?

once you activate the sim and number it can take up to 72 hours before you can recive text from e-mail
