i noticed in the manuals for verizon and sprint phones (at least i only took notice about it on vzn and sprint manuals) there is something in the SAR rating area called CDMA mode and PCS mode. whats the difference between the 2 modes?
they both have different head and body ratings for SAR for both of them and i just wanna know the diff between cdma mode and pcs mode in that case.
thanks

that question makes no sense. cdma is the technology used for broadcasting and receiving while pcs is an acronym that describes the service.

LOL really? try reading one of your user manuals. in the SAR section where it says the rating. they specify ratings in CDMA mode and PCS mode.

pcs stands for personal calling system and has nothing to do with broadcasting.

It is just about the wireless band. CDMA presents 800M band and also known as band class 0, while PCS presents 1900M band and known as band class 1.
Generally they both belong to CDMA tech and make little difference except the working frequencies.
