how to block a certain number using a moto slvr L6 phone?

i am having a problem of how to block a certain phone number because its sending me messages that i hardly know about. The number that is also annoying because i dont recognize the number that was texting me. can you help me out? Is ther a feature or a certain command i should type on my phone to block that certain number without changing my simcard by the way my cellphone is moto slvr L6.
