I have a MotoRazr V3c phone.
I got it some weeks ago from a friend. I found when I opened it up, the keyboard lit up instantly, but it was difficult to get the main display lit. I kept pressing the key indicated in the manual for lighting the display, but it always took a long time to light up. Moreover on each ocasion when I opened the phone and got the display lighting, I was asked for the Pin Number. And sometimes nothing happened unless I removed the battery and re-inserted it. More recently it became even more difficult to get the display lit. And now it will not light up at all. What could be wrong? Do I need a new battery? Or is it more serious?

Could be various things. I'd find a local shop to have them look at it or send it in to Motorola or visit one of their authorized places to get it fix.
