I have a Nokia 6030, whch I have used with Cingular/ATt pay as you go service for last 3 years.
My 1 year calling plan is due to run out soon and I can't recall how to check the exact date it will expire so I can renew it one day prior to that, like I have done in the past. I thought there was an option or # to call to find that out so I was looking around the phone menu options and in doing so inadvertantly one of my menu options has changed to something called "Cingular Mall" that I need to change back to what it used to be, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do that. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?
It used to be that if I pressed the center black button under the display that would take me to a menu screen with 3 rows of icons.
The icons are (in order from top left, going across):
medianet icon - [icon has now changed to "cingular mall" but used to be an icon that simply put the phone to sleep/locked the buttons] - tools icon
third row:
options icon - address book icon - settings icon
The very center icon USED to be something that if I pressed it it would lock up the phone buttons so that I could put it in my pocket without worrying about buttons getting pressed.
Unfortunately by my now exploring the options trying to find how I could check my plan expiration etc, I pressed the "medianet" globe icon to see what it is and in doing so that changed my center icon and it no longer works like it used to! In its place is a strange icon called "Cingular Mall" that I have no use for whatsoever and want to get rid of! How do I do that? I even tried turning the phone off but it appears the damn Cingular Mall is here to stay whether I like it or not.
Appreciate any help.

Hmmm. I may be confused, but I am pretty sure that something has changed.
I find that if I press the center button once from the main display prior to going to the menu display THEN press the * key (in the main display) I can lock up the phone keys like I'm used to. Whew. I just have to be sure to NOT do it like that if ALREADY in the menu screen (because that takes me into Cingular Mall), that from there to ONLY press the * key.
I still don't remember this Cingular Mall icon thing though, or at least not the way the icon for it looks now - and I saw it change right before my eyes when I pressed the Medianet globe, so I panicked ("oh no, what just happened/changed!?!").
[As you can probably tell, I don't use the phone for anything other than making/receiving calls]

Thanks. Funny you should mention that. It was the first thing I tried (yesterday).
When going through my phone yesterday I noticed that I had *611 saved in my phone as "CellOne Cust Svc". I think it was something setup when I got the phone. I thought AHA! THAT'S IT! That must be the # I had used in the past to find out my expiration date, signup for more minutes, etc.
So I tried it then. And I tried it again just now. And it doesn't work. All I get is a recorded message that says it is "not in service".
Wait a minute.you said to try "611", not "*611". Maybe in the past year they changed this number from "*611" to "611"?
Let's see, trying it now.
.YES! That one works! Told me what I needed to know.
I will update the contact # in my phone to remove the "*".
