Need advice for gaining Data / Voice signal strength

Looking for a solution to our lack of and almost non exsistent coverage in our learning center at our corporate location.
This learning center will be converted into a "war room" soon with around 40 people setup in cubes shortly. These people will I'm sure have not only blackberries but iPhones as well.
What can we do to really boost or gain signal strength? What about these portable mobile towers I have been hearing about?
