I have been using an LG 300 for net10 service recently. However I have used AT&T in the past and have an old Motorola Razr v3xx.
Yesterday I purchased the subsidy code to unlock the v3xx phone., but get an unregistered sim in the screen when powered on instead of the subsidy code screen.
Upon borrowing a sim card from a Motorola I510, the subsidy screen popped up and I entered the code no problem.
From what I have read, all you have to do is use the code once and your phone is unlocked permanently, so I went back to use the LG 300 sim card from the net10 network and still says unregistered sim.
I am not phone savy, however I think they are both GSM so it shouldn't be a network problem, more of a hardware or software problem.
Any thoughts or help would be appreciated
Thank you

i510 is an iDEN phone and uses different SIM cards than GSM phones. If it says Unregistered SIM then it might be that the SIM isn't any longer active. Try getting a SIM from a friend and pop it in your V3xx. I think the V3xx was with at&t so don't put a at&t sim in. Get a T-Mobile or Suncom SIM.
