icon_sad.gif ok, this is dumb. But when calling on my phone and receiving phone calls with the W755 a VOICE comes on and says VERIZON wireless First.

When a call comes in the voice reacts and says VERIZON WIRELSS and then the ringtone goes off.

When I make a call it says VERIZON wireless then DIALS out for me.

What the icon_blink.gif it making this phone do that. All alerts for voice are OFF.

Go to your settings and tools, sound settings, and check your service alerts and voice read out settings.

icon_sad.gif Did all that icon_mad.gif and the phone still keeps saying VERIZON wireless. Even when I turn the phone ON now after turning it off.

I removed the battery, waited like a tech said on phone but still does it. icon_wacko.gif

So now I have to RUN to the store again after 5 trips in 2 weeks messing with phones.
I have to say this phone is excellant but for battery life but then again I been messing with it daily trying to stop this crap.

I think I will demand a extra strenght battery while I am at it icon_biggrin.gif but doubt they do that one !
any more ideas?
All alerts are OFF but bingo VERIZON WIRELESS!

Check your power on/off options in the sounds settings. And to be clear you did check service alerts, not alert sounds right?

icon_surprised.gif took phone to verizon. All they did was TURN off the ERI and also turned off CALL CONNECT.

bingo icon_redface.gif it now doesn't say VERIZON WIRELESS.

I asked the guy what is ERI, believe this, he said he has NO clue.

now what kind of tech is that icon_question.gif

Now searching for a LONG lasting battery have BT 51 3.7 Volt in it from factory. Seems to not hold charge but for the ringer I am blessed since I wear aide and can't hear a normal phone. THIS one will wake a person in another room !
