There are three main methods of data transfer:
1. via cable (usb/serial). The details have already been explained above.
2. Via IrDA (Infrared). This is a cheap and good option. However, you need an IrDA module on your PC. You can get one for around 15-20US$. I have a module manufactured by BAFO (USB 2.0 based model no. BF120)(check out www.bafo.com for more details). You can easily get it on major online buying sites.
3. Via BT (Bluetooth). This is the the future proof option since it supports data transfer between pc and cell, cell and PDA and so on. BT modules are slightly costly when compared with IrDA modules but it is worth the investment since you will use it in the future for data transfer to your PDA/laptop as well. BT modules cost around 25-30US$.

k.... I didn't get a usb cable with the phone
I'm going to buy an infra red port and I found this one
http://www.buy-phone-accessories.co.uk/infra%20red/infra%20red.htm
Is that a good price or are there cheaper ones...?
I checked bafo.com and it doesn't have any way of buying from what I see
So can someone tell me if theres any cheaper prices than £29.95

I don't think you can send pictures from phone to pc with an USB DC
But IrDa and Bluetooth should work!
Strange but here in Holland, the Bluetooth ports are cheaper than IrDa Adaptors.
Buetooth €20,- IrDa €45
