I live in the Dallas area and my unlocked phone will not work on the cingular network. The unlocked phone will work with other sim cards that are with other providers. I have tried different phones and get the ame results. Is there some special code I need to get from cingular to activate the phone on their network?
At first it would only not work in certain areas and then it seemed to spread like they were changing something on their end. I have tried their support on the phone and they say the phone is bad. But this happens on any unlocked phone.
Any ideas or help would be appreciatted.

I have the same problems you have! I don't think I'll be able to activate my Nokia N-gage to their network! I have the Sim chip, but Cingular reps told me that GSM isn't offically rolled out with the 900/1900 MHZ. Since they only support 850MHz rigt now 
HELP!!! I want my phone to work on their network

T-Mobile just cut off their roaming agreement with Cingular. So anyone using the 1900mhz freq is SOL to tell you the truth. You would have to dish out the bucks to buy a new phone with the current supported frequency. Work with Customer Service a bit to see what they can do for you.

The PUK is not distributed network wide. It pertains to your individual sim card. The PUK is the Pin Unblocking Key.

Nope but if you contact Cingular they can give you "your" PUK
