Newbie here, sorry if this has been discussed but I searched and found nothing.
I recently got a Nokia 6800 w/ the USB data cable and downloaded the latest PC Suite software from Nokia. I synced the phone with my contacts, calendar and to-do with no problems. But when I try to tranfer an image using the image converter software it always says "Failed to update image in the phone." The help says there are several reasons (connection problem, memory full, image too large). The memory is about empty and the picture file was 1 KB so I can only assume it's having issues finding the phone but the other Suite applications work OK.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tony

Also, looks like the Content Copier doesn't see the phone either. The Connection Manager is A-OK though. Weird.

This happened to me once. Try unplugging the cable from the phone and then from the computer, put it back into the computer and then back into the phone, go to connection manager and make sure it sees it in the cable section. Then go back into Image Converter and try again.
Whenever it happens to me I just unplug it and then plug it back in and it starts to work again. Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply but it's still screwy (didn't mean to get so technical ).
I've disconnected the phone/cable a few dozen times, tried different USB sockets to no avail. I've also re-installed the drivers and PC Suite about a half dozen times. Still the Connection Manager and the PC Sync work fine, nothing else seems to be able to connect to the phone. Maybe it's just this system, I'll try at work...
Thanks anyways,
Tony

Figured it out!
I thought the Nokia software was the culprit so I downloaded the demo version of MobiMB. Installed it and then tried to connect to the phone. It told me I have conflicts on all but 1 of 4 USB connectors. Once I knew which connector was okay the Nokia PC Suite worked. Some more helpful error messages from the Suite would've saved me a lot of time but oh well.

I won't blame Nokia... I once had a USB modem... and everytime my computer connected to the internet, the computer became very slow and even mp3 playing became stocking... coincidental I found out, that the usb modem and the usb scanner had trouble with each other... after unplugging my scanner everything was smooth.
