I think they let you call from a landline but they dont publish the number in any easy spot for you to find!
so if n e 1 knows wot number to call customer carline on o2 (genie) from a landline much would be apprecaited!

You might find this interessting
http://www.ciao.co.uk/O2_UK__5313872/TabId/2/SortOrder/0/sortedReverse /1
Have you ever tried the normal customer care line number from your landline with your network operators prefix? Might be cheaper than from the phone.

O2 Care : 09063 025151
O2 Pre Pay Care : 09063 024445
Calls are charged at 50p a minute. Minimum call charge 5p. Maximum call duration 20 minutes. |
Just call them and ask for your help with Genie or they've got to give you a correct number, because it can't be that Genie has no customer care line. And as Genie is part of o2, they've got help.
I'll keep my fingers crossed

if u want mms, get a new genie sim card, and get them 2 port number over, all old sims are not compatiable with mms, its the same for o2 standard PAYG customers

Pardon me, but I found this page whilst browsing the internet for support with getting MMS/GPRS working with an existing o2 Genie sim card.
Has this theory been proven to work? I understand that you have the ability to swap information between two simcards, as they are based upon flash EPROM (i believe) memory. (i'm not happy that o2 want another £7.50 per month just so you can have MMS on your phone) But i don't understand how the MMS/GPRS settings can be transfered between simcards.
Also, is it legal to do this? I'm aware that there are legal protections to allow mobile companies/users to stop anybody who has stolen your mobile/simcard from being able to use it that might be changed if you try swapping your tariffs/numbers between two cards.
I'm also interested in two other things whilst i'm on the subject of changing tariff's across a simcard. (a) Would this get rid of the "slow access to your phonebook" bug that occurs when you have a genie sim, and (b) would I be able to physically swap the phone numbers across, or would that have to be arrange with O2?

ok, o2 are not asking for extra money(suprise, the vultures they are) , its simply because the old sims will not support mms or gprs, so in effect its not transferring the settings, because the old sims dont support the settings, in effect "upgrading" your sim. It is perfectly legal to go through this process, and when u buy a genie sim u have 2 register with o2 online, so they will have their details on their system, therefore they will be able to check if the simcard is presently with its rightful owner, as with the slow access to your phonebook, i have never came across it before, and with regards to transferring the contacts on the sim, they have to be done manually, which is a bit of a pain in the backside.
