yes I am doing it without sim card!! When i type the code in when it says 'insert sim' nothing happens! it comes up *2767*----
Im desperate to get this unlocked!!!!

Have you tryed *2767*688# without a sim card?
Also, you could try these codes:
*2767*2878#
*2767*3855#
But, after that it is possible (not anytime) to need for network code entered. Best method for unlock is to use WinIMEI with a serial data cable.

will these codes work wether using a contact sim or pay as you go sim?
I am looking at buying a T-Mobile E700 off a freind but its on a contract. I am using an O2 pay as you go sim that has the 300 free texts. Wondering if the codes on this thread will let me use my sim?

Try this code out guys, has worked for me and all my friends 
Remove SIM Card, power up phone
Enter #*7337#
The Screen should go white, after a few seconds the phone will reboot.
Enjoy your Unlocked phone.
few alternatives incase that dont work,

*2767*2878#
*2767*927#
*2767*7822573738#
last one.....
1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is not locked to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right softkey. Choose number 7. Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalised.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other than the one that is in it. Power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeros.
Test your phone with a different SIM card to see if it is unlocked. If unlocked the procedure is completed.
