Making animated gifs from scratch is incredibly difficult... I think most are just resized from existing images. To resize you can use Microsoft GIF Animator. It's free to download and does the job pretty well.

Well, what I've done is that I used an existing anim (an intro anim of a game (in my case: Thief)) and used a program (Nandub) to extract the frames in .bmp from the anim, and then I've used Adobe Photoshop 6.0 to convert the images to 101*60, 256 colorz, and everything that is written on this site here (directions on the convert process)
After that, I've downloaded Ulead GIF Animator 5 via Kazaa Media Desktop, and put the converted frames into proper order as it was in the original anim. After that, I optimized the stuff, set the frame rate, and saved it as an animated .GIF, which is used by the phone (T68i, T300, T310 and some others I don't know of (I'm not sure of the T610 if it uses .gif too)). Tada! You've got your OWN screensaver. All you need is a bit luck with Mobiledia, if they submit it or not. And you heard it right (this is an advert , I have a Thief screensaver comin' up! Have already sent it to mobiledia (that was 5 days ago) and hopefully they'll submit.

It's 128*160 pixels... There's all the info about the T610 here.
