Sorry, I'm new here, but what is the difference between "does not unlock your phone" and "allows u to use another simcard"
Is there a "full" unlock code also available for this phone? Hopefully i will get mine tomorrow
Have a nice day
greets

ive tried ti and it works but its not a permenent unlocking tool. if you want to unlock your phone completely without entering the code then you need the unlocking tool for the samsung s100.. its called samsung agere service tools. just plug in your phone, run the software and voila!

Hi,
I got my unlock code through, now i am not too sure if samsung made this just for my phone , but as they did not ask for the IMIE number, i assume it is a general one,
Warning, samsung say if it does not work the first time DONT enter it in again.....
This code turns off the personalization of the phone (ie the service provider lock)
it is as smple as...
Remove sim card from the handset and turn phone back on.
Enter #0111* 51352979#
Let me know if anyone else has a sucess with this......

UNLOCK CODES ARE SPECIFIC TO YOUR PHONES IMEI NUMBER.
IF YOU ATTEMPT TO UNLOCK YOUR PHONE MULTIPLE TIMES (I THINK 4) AND ARE UNSUCCESSFUL, THEN IT WILL PERMENETLY LOCK YUOR PHONE FROM USE RENDERING IT USELESS
-Try requesting your own unlock code from t-mobilke by calling their customer service.
-You can also unlock it with the OEM data cable from samsung with software (you will have to find this software or can purchase it on ebay).
-I have also seen other methods in the forums. (this forum or the HowardForums), but I'm not sure if they work.

I got this from a website and was able to unlock my e715 and install the settings for mmode and mss service for at&t....The phone works great. I like it over my v525/v600...
For any Samsung Phone Model S100 and up.MOST SAMSUNG phone will work,
Sample, Samsung Sgh e100, e105, e700,e708, e715, p100, p400, p407, p408, s200, s208, s300, s307, s308, v200, v205, v206, x105, x426, x427..& more
Warning: If this does work. DONT TRY MORE than 4 times. IT WILL TOTALLY LOCK YOUR PHONE.
1. Turn off your phone, put in a SIM of a provider that it is NOT LOCKED (difference company's SIM card) to, and turn it back on.
2. At the wrong card message, type *#9998*3323#. A message will pop up telling you to press exit, so hit the right soft key. Choose number 7 (or 8 or 9 will work too, I think). Your phone will reboot and your SIM will work.
3. Type *0141# and then hit call. This will give you a message saying your phone is personalized.
4. Power down your phone and insert a SIM card other(another company) than the one that is in it. Then power back up your phone.
5. At the SIM pass code prompt type 00000000, that is 8 zeroes. So that will totally UNLOCK your phone."
To enter wap settings: Enter *#vswap# or numerically, *#87927#
To enter mms settings: Enter *#vsmms# or numerically, *#87667#
