I'm with Optus network in australia, and im having some problems getting GPRS working on my phones. on both my 6610 and 6108 i have the same problem. I contacted optus when i first got my phone, and the activated GPRS for me, so I can send MMS with no problem at all, but when I try to connect to WAP via GPRS it says "Subscrive to GPRS First". What does this mean? My settings are all 100% correct, and i've asked optus to help but they stopped replying to my emails. Anyone know what this message means?

Check the APN, maybe it's set wrong.

Hi,
I have a very similair problem with my Nokia 6230 (contract) on Vodafone (UK).
My phone has been "setup" by the reseller and GPRS is working just fine. I can go to "Services" on the handset and go to URL's and all that, even third party applications requiring internet access is fine, so no problems there.
However, when I go to messaging, and e-mail (oor mms with e-mail receive) I will get the "Subscribe to GPRS first" error. The connection details will always show that GPRS is being used, even with "GPRS always on" I still get this error! I've tried changing the APN, I've made my own APN's, I've phoned up CustomerServices asking them to send me the "settings" and still I receive exactly the same details and am experiencing exactly the same problem (while my browsing, etc. works just fine).
All I want to do is be able to send a e-mail or a MMS picture to my e-mail address (and these settings are fine too). When it comes to sending a e-mail it will open up a GPRS connection (if not on "always on") and claim that it sent the e-mail, it will even send me a delivery report but no e-mail is ever received (and yes, no typos or anything). I've tried changing the SMTP server, etc. to my own account details (I run my own server so I can see if a connection is attempted to my server) and NOTHING happens!
This sadly looks like a firmware issue? Anybody with any ideas?
