Hello All,
I have had a Samsung S 105 for almost a year now with T-mobile service provider. About 6 months ago I got an unlock code from t-mobile so I could use my phone with other service providers when I am outside the country. Apparently a few weeks ago I was in England trying to use a local sim and it did not work. I was told apart from the unlock code I would need some kinda software to unlock the phone. Can someone please advise on how do I go about fixing this problem. When I entered the unlock code given to me, the phone did read network unlocked etc etc!!!!! Please help???????

Here is a temporary unlock code you could try I got this from another forum.
Take the SIM card that you wanted to use on your phone, and put it in your phone.
When the phone says "wrong card", type in your phone *#9998*3323#.
Then, it'll say "please press exit". press the right soft key (which says exit) kind of hard, because it sometimes doesn't respond.
You'll get to a menu that has a bunch of strange commands. scroll down to "malloc fail" which is #6. Don't worry, it doesn't fail anything. After you press "malloc fail", don't press any buttons.
Your phone will go gray, then turn off, restart, go to your start-up screen, then will say "please wait", and then it'll go to normal standby mode, and register to your new carrier!!!
There's just one catch, next time you turn off your phone, the phone will go back to its normal settings, and be locked again. All you have to do is put in the code again!
this was taken from another site (howardforums.com) and the credit goes to mango808. see if that works. also check out this link:
Thank you so much for the follow up. Currently I am back in the country and do not have access to another sim card for another service provider hence cannot check the option you suggested. But I did try the information provided on the link that was attached on the bottom "howard...". I tried to follow the instrusctions and punched in the numbers as advised. To start with after entering the "*" all "0" convert into "-" and lastly I don't see a send option so i figured it meant hit the yes button. On doing all this the screen showed "unpersonalized......."...Please help me unlock this phone, so next time I am out the of the country I will be able to use the phone..Thanks in advance.
Cheers

try doing a search on here or howardforums.com and see what comes up. i've never personally unlocked a phone myself. always flashed with new firmware and never have to worry about it again. good luck in your search.
