Hey all, yeah I am pretty distressed as my T316 accidentally got knocked into, actually, the toilet. Haha funny as it sounds, I opened up the back, with battery and SIM out, and did a little towel spot drying. I then just left it open overnight to see if that would dry it out. I don't think it did, especially due to the LCD still having noticeable distortion in the shape of water droplets. Also this morning i tuerned it on and after about ten minutes, it gave me the "New Voicemail/Text message" sound and froze. can anyone give me any advice? or have I lost my phone. I dont know how to disassemble it further, and definately dont know how to dry out the LCD screen. Thanks in advance.

P.S. if it matters, the phone was on in standby I believe when it got knocked in.

I think you should openup everything of the phone and let it dry for a week and DON'T turn it on.
If it still don't do anything then I'm afraid you lost your phone...

and my friend dropped his t68 is the watter two weeks ago and it still works like a charm! .. so do as Sean B told you, take apart the phone totaly and let it dry out! .. then put it together and hope for the best!

A few years ago, my girlfriend dropped her phone on the toilet. It refused to work until I took it all apart, clean it all and reassemble. Worked until it suffered from an violent accident! (fell of from a 3rd floor... )
Hugs.

Yeah as soon as it died i did a little drying and turned it on, then the next day i turned it on one time, and it died after like 10 mins, and the second time i turned it on just to make sure it was still working. NOW i know that all that will do is repeatedly fry it possibly, it's sitting on a towel in my room, with battery removed (cause all I can get off is battery, SIM, and battery case) so its airing for a while. In the mean time, my friend has lent me his t68i, so all's not TOO bad.

What about the money and torture that one has to go through. Thank God it's just a T310. Imagine what would would have happened had it been a P900 or even a P800.

What helps is "isopropanol" a clean spirit that is used for ex. videodrums, leaves no trace. If nedded leave the phone in a bath of the spirit, taken apart. I´ve done three like that, even after a seawater bath.

I once puked and later accidently washed my siemens M36, It didnt work at all in the beginning. Then like a week later I could start it but it would freeze after a minute or so. 3 months later I tried it and it worked perfectly

my friend thought'd it'd be funny to drop my brand new sexy Sony Ericsson K610i in the loo. I like a laugh, but not at my own epense ey.
BASICALLY the screens dried out, and it'll turn on and all that, but the images are all kinda under a white haze, no true colour. Also it keeps randomly clicking onto bluetooth etc. To me that sounds pretty screwed but if anyone's a mobile whizz out there n can offer any advice.PLEASE DO.
cheers
