Well I put a deep scratch into the outside lcd part of my v205 and was wondering what were my options? I did a search and found someone say to find a dummy phone off of ebay and replace the parts but i really have no idea what this means.

you can get a replacement faceplate for your v200/v205 phone for cheap. you can check on ebay.com or daydeal.com for more information. the faceplate is easily replaceable, daydeal shows you how to do this. all you scratched was the plastic lcd cover. good luck!

Do the new faceplates replace the mirror part that surrounds the lcd too? or is that part of the phone. Strangely enough, my phone came with odd gray markings underneath the clear plastic on the mirror part, they look like scratches on the mirror. My phone was new and still had the clear rubber cover when i got it with these marks.

yes sir they do come with the reflective or mirror-like bezel you are talking about. please know that these are aftermarket facelplates so they look slightly different from the oem's. for example, the refelctive bezel area is a slightly different shape. unfortunately, you can't use the oem bezel since it has the "cool" samsung logo on it. the aftermarket has nothing then again, it could be worse like no replacement faceplates at all. i've dealt with daydeal on several items and they're faceplates are very sturdy, the paint doesn't chip like others. now the colored-keypad replacements they have are low-quality. the paint chips and breaks easily but won't mark or scratch the internal screen like the original since it's rubber. easy choice for me, aftermarket keypad was the way to go. hope that helps guys.

Are the aftermarket ones the same shade as the OEM ones?
