so nokia has a better camera, but sony has the better screen...
Which camera's pics would look better once they were transferred to my computer? Does the number of colours available on the screen transfer over to the computer?
And ya I'd definitely get the Nokia 3620/3660 if my carrier had it, but the don't...

Yo Ker-Plunk
With regard to the quality of the picture the two fones take. We know that the Nokia only has 4096 screen colours whilst the Sony has 65,000. This has nothing to do with the camera or the quality of the pics that they take. According to Nokia the 3650 has a VGA camera, Sony don’t state what the camera is. Now this is slightly confusing because I have never come across a camera with a “VGA” tag applied to it, even digital video cameras, they are always promoted as having gigapixels and all that crap. I suspect this is a sales gimmick on Nokias part, if that is the case it is a bad one.
VGA stands for Video Graphics Array, which was an early standard for IBM Video Cards. VGA gave the user, 640 x 480 pixels (resolution) and 16 colours. So if the Nokia has a VGA camera then the best you will ever get from it is a 16 colours picture at a resolution of 640 x 480 – NOT GREAT! The Sony takes pictures in 24bit (16 million) colours at 288 x 352 which is a slightly smaller picture than the Nokia but with a bucket load more colours.
Can anyone out there confirm the Nokia picture quality? How many colours does it snap shots in, if it is 16 then that really sucks?
Sorry Ker-Plunk, you are probably even more confused now?
Get the Sony man, you know you want to!
Haydo..

The only Nokia phones that are able to take really neat images are N6600 and to some extent, the N3660.
