hi! i'm a filipina working in dubai, united arab emirates. i've never written anything close to a phone review before, so please bear with me...
the t610 was released here about a week ago with a price tag equivalent to about US$ 400! Not really a high price to pay considering all the features it has! The screen has a relatively large 65K color screen display in ratio to the phone size ... that alone would push a techie to buy it! Also, you can download polyphonic tones - about 30+... and is slighly smaller than the nokia 7210... it's got simple, sleek lines and looks elegant because of the aluminum finish casing.
Downside is, there's no removable media, so ur stuck with about 2mb of memory... not much, really! especially when you're keen on taking pictures! Plus... you have to clean the phone everytime you use it coz it's highly sensitive to dirt! There's a piece of sony ericsson cloth that comes with it though... something you usually see included in a pair of sunglasses!
Great features, great fun! i HIGHLY recommend this phone! it's terrific and compared to the Nokia 7250, 7210 (no offense!) phones, it's a blast!

T610i Is out in sweden and I got it wednesday,
As a real Nokia freak I must say that Ericsson have made it,
The only bad thing I can say about this machine is the BIg mistake the have done with the speaker,. there is a awful loud noise in the background.
Its gone asap you use the Port Hf or BT HF.
So drop you things an buy this one, IT ROX,,,

Hi. I'm from Malaysia and the phone is not out yet over here. According to the email reply that I got from SonyEricsson, the T610 will be released in Malaysia in May/June (no specific release date), with a recommended retail price of RM1599, that's about 420 US dollars.

on extele, they say it is due May '03, and they estimate it'll cost £350!
I hope that's a rough guess, as you say mphone has quoted cheaper (£289 inc VAT), but you could always order from abroad (seeing as it's tri-band).

It's gonna release in Taiwan sometime in June.
Cost is around 500 US I think.

well, the vodafone here in portugal, says it's gonna be released in June.. and the base price is 370€.. very cheap! for the piece of art that this telephone is! i'm getting very very ansious about when it arrives, i've already made a preorder! i'm in love!

Anyone hear about the Sony Ericsson T616, I'm waiting for it to come out in the USA. Cingular and AT&T for are saying that they are going to carry that phone. ... (T610 - T616). the T616 frequencise are 850 - 1800- 1900, the T610 is 800 - 1800 - 1900.
Can any noe help...

I have had mine for about two weeks. so far so good. my last phone was a T28 so I am used to the similar menu "clicks". I ordered mine on the web from a place in Singapore. had it in my hands three days later.

I tested my friend's T610, but found that the photo taken in low lited place turns out really bad (worse than the N7250).

I've heard that at least cingular is planning on releasing the phone with the charie's angels movie that opens june 27th because the movie features the t616 in it.
i'm getting very very ansious about when it arrives, i've already made a preorder!
