hi,

i was wondering how to get a normal mp3 song and put it into your phone with the words still in there? i have tried to convert the mp3 to midi but it just turns crappy. i found a website where people have put their own songs on as a ringtone and when it on the phone its the real song.

thanks
chris

Hi Chris , I use an audioeditor (sound forge) to manipulate the file.

from MP3 > Wave file > edited to make seamless loop > Re-sampled to
8,000hz > change to Mono (if its a stereo file) > save as Wave file
(8,000hz, Mono) > convert to .MMF file (program called "WSC-MA2" or
tools found here http://smaf-yamaha.com/tools/index.html )

yo,,
i downloaded the software
then converted a short wav to mono and then changed the sample rate to 8000hz then dropped it into that prog and ended up with the file at 30kb,
so i got a mate to upload it onto the internet so i could download it but when i enter the llink into my e700 browser it finds the page and just comes up with "MMMD" and nothing else?

how do u get to download the mmf file?

here is the link

www.guyandrews.co.uk/music.mmf

cheers

Sorry to have confused you. I use some software called soundforge6 to edit the mp3s and that was the sequence of events i go through when using that software. If you can get hold of that software it's quite easy to use once you get the hang of it but if your still having problems leave a post here
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/samsungv200help/
and i'll try and help you through it

tagtag.com

you can go to that in your phone browser or on your comp. also you can upload your own songs onto it. the only problem i have is everytime i download it to my phone i get a forbidden msg when i make my own ringtone. but all the other ones work fine.
you dont need a cable to get these ringtones either
