I own the lG600 and I followed your directions. It says that the TTY is on full. I go to make the call dial the number, hit send, and when I am a few seconds into the call I hit the volume up but nothing happens. Are you sure this works? Let me know if Im doing something wrong!
Thanks

wow, the original thread is so wroooooong. changing the TTY to "FULL" does NOT activate any speaker or speakerphone capabilities. For some reason you think that enabling TTY FULL it makes the volume extra loud for those with hearing disabilities? What are you thinking? No, there is no speakerphone, and, no, FULL does not activate it. The instructions in original thread would suggest something akin to an American speaking louder to a French person because the French person doesn't understand English. Give me a break. Hilarious.

What you need to do is
1) press and hold the * (star) key until it goes into manner
2) press and hold the * (star) until it goes into Silence All
3) Menu, Tools [8] , Voice Memo [3]
4) Record a message (just silence will work) just a few seconds will do
(once recorded, and saved, "end" your way out)
5) Menu, Camera [1], Send Pix Msg [3], Send a message to anyone, but
attach the recorded memo to the message, Before it sends, cancel it
(instead of sending, it will put in your outbox)
6) Go to your pix message outbox [5], Find the pix message that didnt
fully send, Options: save the music ("end" your way back to regular screen)
7) Menu, My Media [7], Music [2], Scroll and find the recorded memo that
you just saved, it will be in here. Highlight the track, and press "OK"...
*THIS WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. dont expect to see anything change.
End your way out of there
8] Press and hold * (star) until it goes back into normal mode
Now when you get a call, press any key, but do not hold to your ear, because
it is loud... Speaker phone is now enabled...
I have to go in and do this every time... But suposedly it stays that way until you
turn your phone on and off... Press any key again to disable speaker phone
while on call
it works, I think it was just a glitch w/ the VX6000.

Actually, it does work... if you follow the directions, but that sure is a lot of trouble to turn on a speaker phone. It would make a person think that the speakerphone was an original intention by LG, but disabled for some reason by Verizon Wireless. Can't imagine why, except that it sounds kind of bad, really...
