Different dates for different markets probably. I work in the S. Florida market and it's supposed to come out in March down here. Supposedly. Best info I can give you on that.

I work for Cingular. I was just a meeting the first week of February with one of our Marketing VPs. He actually had the Motorola V600 working and on his belt clip. It is a truely amazing phone. He told me that we will be offering the V600 by the end of March (entire central market). The only thing that would delay this is if Motorola pushes back the release date for any reason but we are releasing it the same time AT&T does. For those of you who care, hold off on buying our v400 just another month to get the same phone with more bell & whistles!

I saw on the internet that the V600 won't include the ability to use MP3s as your ringtones. When i checked, it said that it only has the polyphonic capablity. Can anyone verify this fact?

I was surfing the website this morning, and noticed the V600 is now available for sale at cingular.com. Whether that means its in the store is another question.
As to the MP3 question - my understanding is that if you buy the mobile phone tools, you can convert .mp3's to ringtones. I think you can get the mobile phone tools on the web for around $30.
