I have a T730 phone that I cracked the LCD screen on. I found a replacement screen. But all the instructions I have found for installation are for the T720 phone.
I know they are very similar, but mine has only 3 visible screws on the back of the main housing. I removed the 3 screws, but I still cannot get the back cover off the housing. Is there something I'm missing? The rest of the instructions seem to be the same between the T730 and T720.
Any help would be appreiated!

I figured it out. If anyone else has issues replacing their screen on the T730, let me know, I had success.

the basic instructions that I followed are here - http://www.daydeal.com/mott720/installmott720pcv.htm
The only difference for the 730 phone, is that there is only 3 screws in the battery compartment area. And no SIM card like they mention in those instructions.
I removed the 3 screws and tried to pull the back off the phone (I would suggest doing this first, before you take the lid with the screen apart) and the back did not want to come apart. I thought there was a fourth screw, but there isn't. Just pry the back off it, using even, firm pressure, it will come off. The rest is simple, following the instructions on the web site listed above. People say the hardest part is popping the hinge, but for me it seemed easy.
Good luck to you and anyone else trying this. Any other Questions? just ask!

Hey,
Just curious what it cost you to replace the screen, and where you found it. I just cracked the LCD on the outside, and i need to find a replacement.
Thanks

I bought mine from ebay, here's a link to an auction from the same guy that sent me mine
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35211&item=5700 276205&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
It's sent right from Hong Kong, I had mine in less than a week, it was $16 plus $8 for shipping.
I broke mine the same way you did to yours, the outside screen was broken, but the inside screen worked ok.

Does a Kit like this replace the outer screen, as well as the inside color screen? I am just curious, i have not yet taken apart the unit.

I just finished replacing the screen on my T730. Took about 20 minutes with the directions that I found via that link that was posted earlier.
I would recommend pushing out the LED indicator light plastic piece next to the hinge. It gives you more room to get a pry pin in there to get the hinge undone.
The replacement part includes both screens as a single unit. I got it off ebay for about $27.
I also did not pull apart the two circuit boards. I figured that it would be more trouble than it's worth, and just *CAREFULLY* separated the connector to the LCD screen. It takes a little precision to get the new screen in place over the connector, but it's probably a quicker to do it this way than to separate the two boards and then try to get them back together again.
I for one am a happy camper. Verizon wanted $230 for a new phone, so I figured I had nothing to lose in trying this out.
