Hello everyone, I was just wondering if any of you have a 5100? And have any of you had any luck getting the express internet (Wap) working as well as the MMS. I tried everything, I even called cingular and they said since they don't have the phone they can't send me the settings for it. So I am really bumbed out about that. If any one can help I would really appreciate it. Thanks

WAP-Settings:
Using GPRS (aka Wireless Internet Express)
Function Setting
Settings Name: Cingular Wireless Internet Express
Home Page: http://device:home or http://device.home
Session Mode: Permanent
Connection Security: On
APN: wap.cingular (lower case)
PDP_Type: IP
Gateway IP Address: 66.209.11.61
Authentication Type: Secure
Login Type: Automatic
User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
(All upper case)
Password: CINGULAR1
(All upper case)
For MMS I couldn't find the settings, but the settings are the same like on every other Nokia phone with WAP 1.2.1 like yours.

I'm just wondering, what is the port # and where do you put the IP address, cause I have something called a proxy and I can enable it or disable it. When i enable it it gives me options for proxy 1 and proxy 2. I think this is where you put the ip address, but then it asks me for a port#. What do I do? Thanks again.

In that case, use this settings:
Using GPRS (aka Wireless Internet Express)
Function Setting
Settings Name: Express
Home Page: http://device:home or http://device.home
APN: wap.cingular (lower case)
PDP_Type: IP
Proxies: Enabled
Primary Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Secondary Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 8080
Authentication Type: Secure
Login Type: Automatic
User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
(All upper case)
Password: CINGULAR1
(All upper case)
If it's so, the MMS settings should be:
Multimedia Settings
Settings Name: Multimedia
Homepage: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxies: Enabled
Primary Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Secondary Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 8080
Access Point: wap.cingular
Authentication Type: Secure
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (upper case)
Password:CINGULAR1 ( upper case)

ANd I tried to send it to my yahoo account but it didn't work just wondering, can you send pics to email accounts just wondering? But thanks again:)

you are suppsoed to be able to send MMS to email accounts.... it should show up as a URL link so you can access it.
does it work when sending it to a cingular phone?
and this is probably a stupid question, but have you had cingular add on the MMS feature? It usually doesnt get added on the account by default.

Actually I had them add it to my account, and since my phone is a 5100 nokia they don't have the settings to send through my sms. So basically I had to find somone that has the settings for it. The settings that are on this thread are suppose to work. The internet works its just the mms settings. Those are the settings that I put in my phone. And no I have not tried to send another cigular customer a mms, but I asked the cingular company and they said I should be able to send mms to my email. By the way want do you mean by URL?
