I have a question, I am a private investigator and I am wondering why would a person swap SIM Card between multiple handsets and if the person was a "bad guy" what benefit would this action have.[/b][/u][/i]
other than to use a different device.nothing. the phone number is the simcard.

I just bought a blackberry storm fully unlocked and need to swap the sim cards. I am currently using a Motorloa w385 with no data plan on an ACS network. They do not offer the storm but I know it works on their network since my GF has a storm through Verizon that works fine up here in Alaska on the ACS network. I know the data portion will not work until I sign up for a data plan but my question is.
- Will I be able to recieve and make calls if I just swap out the sim card?
I don't want to change my phone number and I still have about 8 months left on my current plan. Any help would be appreciated (including links where I can find out more information). I'd also like to know where the sim card is located on the w385. I think I have to remove the 4 torx screws in order to get at it but I don't want to disable my phone until I know I will be able to use my new one for phone calls and IMs.
