how do i reset or remove security code on lg vx6000?

i have a phone and i totally forgot my security code, is there any way i can reset this code to something new, or is there any way i can reset the phone back to factory settings? any help is appreciated, thaks.

did you totally forgot or you just don't really know what it was?
try putting your last 4-digits of your phone number.

if that doesnt work try *228 option 1 then it should be the last 4 of your phone number good luck

Yes, having your phone reprogramed using *228 will reset your code to the last 4 digits of your number. Let's hope you remember thoes...

No, no, no that won't work, your security code is 6 digits and is always 000000 unless changed by you. People don't usually change that code though. Kelly
